Jeffrey S. LaPour is founder and President of LaPour Partners, a commercial real estate and hospitality development firm, active in the western US. Over the past 25 years, he has led development ventures as a principal on over 7M SF of office, industrial, and hospitality space. The firm has a specific focus, and successful history on complicated transactions.
LaPour began his career at Hilton Hotels, followed by a tenure in commercial brokerage before launching the development firm. Mr. LaPour studied Liberal Arts at the University of Nebraska, serves on the Board of Directors of NAIOP Southern Nevada and is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI).
Lisa Chasteen joined LaPour in 2002 as LaPour’s 1st team member. As Vice President of Asset Management and Leasing at LaPour, Lisa is responsible for all aspects of the marketing, operations and occupancy of LaPour’s commercial and industrial projects. She also takes a hands-on approach during the development process to ensure each project meets the market demand and serves the end user with the most relevant features.
Bringing over 20 years of experience and an average lease transaction volume of over $50M per year to this role, Lisa’s industry knowledge and insights on property improvement and leasing strategies enable LaPour to achieve some of the highest occupancy rates in the market.
Lisa is passionate about the commercial real estate industry and is actively involved in NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) and Urban Land Institute (ULI) initiatives, as well as mentorship programs to educate future commercial real estate leaders.
Kari Laurent, serving as Vice President of Development for LaPour, is a dynamic force in the field of commercial real estate development. Kari has dedicated over 15 years to the study and practice of commercial development, focused in the Industrial, Office, and Hospitality sectors. She is a graduate from the University of Nevada Las Vegas-Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies, completed Harvard University Graduate School of Design’s Integrated Project Management course and was a graduate of NAIOP Southern Nevada’s 2023 Developing Organization Leadership Institute.
Focusing on the firm’s ground-up development activities, Kari skillfully manages the firm’s portfolio from inception to construction. A notable achievement is the Camelback Collective Project in Phoenix, AZ. In this project, Kari navigated a challenging 18 month long entitlement process for a select serve Marriott hotel and Class A office building in a high-barrier submarket, successfully completing the project on time and within budget. This project not only met but surpassed expectations, setting new market records in performance metrics and asset dispositions. Her expertise is reflected in her oversight of over $350 million in completed project capitalization. To date, she has developed over 2 million square feet in Nevada, Arizona, and California.
Prior to joining LaPour, Kari gained valuable experience in sales and marketing at MGM Resorts International Project City Center. Kari is passionate about sharing her experience and providing support for the next generation of Commercial Real Estate professionals. She frequently mentors and participates in expert panels as a guest speaker at her alma mater, University of Nevada Las Vegas-Lied Institute for Real Estate Studies and is a mentor for young women in the CREW Las Vegas EMPOWR Program.
Matthew Hoyt, serves as Vice President of Finance and Operations for LaPour Cos. Matthew is responsible for oversight of the firm’s financial activities as well as placement and procurement of project debt and equity. His experience includes 15 years in commercial mortgage banking where he established relationships with numerous capital sources including Life Companies, Commercial Banks, Investment Banks, Pension Funds, and Institutional Debt Funds for all phases of the development process, land acquisition to construction, through permanent financing. His finance experience encompasses all income producing property types: office, industrial, hotel, retail, multifamily, storage, CTL, and land, among others. Matthew sits on the Board of Directors for NAIOP Southern Nevada Chapter and Chairs its Membership Committee. He also sits on the Advisory Committee for the Lied Center of Real Estate at UNLV and Chairs its Mentorship Program.
Prior to joining LaPour, Matthew spent 15 years at CommCap Advisors, a Las Vegas based Commercial Mortgage Banking Firm. Matthew holds a BSBA from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Major in Real Estate.
As Vice President of Construction for LaPour, Kyle is responsible for all phases of construction of the firm’s development portfolio which includes office, industrial, mixed-use, and hospitality across multiple geographical regions. From project pursuit to completion, Kyle manages all parties connected to the planning, design and construction of each project and all due diligence activities.
Kyle has 20 years of experience in various high-level roles with national and international general contractors headquartered in California and Arizona. He has worked with some of the largest developers and end users in the country including Marriott, Hines, Scannell, Northrup Grumman, Suncap, ALDI, and Amazon. During this time, he has overseen complicated regulatory processes in California, Colorado and other notably high barrier to entry municipalities.
Within these roles Kyle has been responsible for the delivery of +/- 5 million sf of commercial real estate spanning multiple product types such as aerospace, cold storage, hospitality, corporate TI, healthcare, office and industrial. As a general contractor, Kyle managed the construction of the record setting and award-winning Camelback Collective, a mixed-use hotel and office development in which LaPour was the developer and owner.
Kyle holds a BS from California State University, Chico with a Major in Construction Management and is actively involved in the mentorship of young professionals in the industry.
